the HOUSE
In 2021 we found a long and narrow plot with a shack on it. The perfect spot for a new house! The house has a walled green garden full of bamboo and rododendron surrounded by beautiful large trees. The house is 20 meters long and 3,5 meters wide with an enormous glass facade opening to the garden (4,5 meters high). The walls inside and out are made of ‘misfires’; bricks that have transformed into unusual shapes during the baking process. Inside the house is a loft with a heightened lounge with hanging woodburner, a kitchen with bar and a 2 person bedroom with bathroom. In the middle we have created a mezzanine with a large bed for 3. The house is finished with Frake Noir, a thermally modified wood type with a beautiful dark brown shade. Outside you’ll find an unheated natural swimming pool with a swim track of 13 meters and a helophyte filter for purifying the water. If you dare you can swim all year round!
The Pool House is situated at the edge of Gorssel, a nice village surrounded by forest. The hanseatic cities of Deventer and Zutphen can be reached by a ten minute drive. The forest is a 10-15 minute walk from the cabin.

because of the swimming pool the cabin is less suitable for young children who cannot swim
the swimming pool is natural and therefore not heated
the cabin has a huge glass facade without blinds. In the bedroom downstairs you’ll wake up by natural light. The bedroom upstairs has blinds
the 3 bed upstairs is under a sloping roof
RATES, AVAILABILITY AND BOOKING
in low season the rental price is 185 Euro per night based on a stay of 2 persons
In high season the rental price is 245 Euro per night based on a stay of 2 persons. You’ll find the dates for high season on the INFO page.
if you stay with more than 2 persons you'll pay an extra charge of 25 Euro per person per night for the 3rd, 4th and 5th person.
In low season minimum stay during the weekends is 3 nights (Friday - Monday). In 2023 during the week it’s 2 nights (Mon-We, We-Fri). In 2024 during the week it’s 4 nights (Mon-Fri). In high season the minimum stay is a week (Fri-Fri).
final cleaning is mandatory and is 95 Euro per stay.
tourist tax is 1,35 Euro per person per night.
babies up to 1 year old stay for free. Please bring your own baby cot and bedding for the baby
if you bring your dog (max. 1 dog), the extra charge is 50 Euro per stay.
your stay includes bath linen, bed linen and kitchen linen, unlimited use of firewood, Smit & Dorlas coffee cups, Clipper tea, delicious soap by the Dutch brand Marie Stella Maris (Objet d’Amsterdam) and basic household supply (olive oil, salt, pepper etc) .
