The House

The C House is situated in the middle of a Dutch forest. The distinctive C shape gave name to the house. It consists of 5 spaces that each have their own function. In the middle is a raised kitchen with views to both sides of the forest. This is the central part of the house. Both ends of the C comprise elevated bedrooms with bathrooms and in between at ground level you’ll find a dining area and an intimate sitting area.

The house is clad with Corten steel (another reference to the C) and has turned into a beautiful red colour. The window sills are made of untreated Fraké Noir wood, a thermally modified type of wood that has a beautiful and warm look and feel. Fraké wood has also been used for the interior finishing of the house.

The house is enclosed by an unheated natural swimming pool with a swimming lane of 12 meters and a helophyte filter with lava stones and yellow irises for the purification of the water. When the temperature rises, the water also heats up quite quickly, think of about 18 degrees in May. If you dare you can swim all year round!

The hexagonal shape comprises an inner garden in which you’ll find a raised bar directly adjacent to the kitchen with windows that open up completely to complete the bar-feeling and a raised wooden deck next to the pool.

The house is surrounded by a private forest of 5,500m2 and is completely fenced. Around it you will find even more forest and heathland with hiking and mountain bike trails.

The house is located at the edge of the village Rijssen.

  • the 100 m2 house is suitable for max 4 adults (2 adults and 3-4 children is also possible, please inquire directly with us)

  • complete kitchen with dishwasher, oven, refrigerator, Nespresso coffee machine

  • a sitting area with speaker for music, beamer and wood stove

  • the master bedroom has a freestanding double bed of 1.80 x 2.10 m and a double shower

  • the other bedroom has a bunk bed with two double beds of 1.60 x 2.10 m and a bathroom with shower

  • both bedrooms can be closed with sliding doors.

  • the mattresses are from Emma, ​​all duvets and pillows are anti-allergenic

  • the house has a washer / dryer combination

  • wif is available

  • your pet is welcome. Please note: he/she must be able to climb stairs!

  • Note: the house has a natural swimming pool, bring a life jacket for small children

RATES, AVAILABILITY AND BOOKING

  • in low season the rental price is 185 Euro per night based on a stay of 2 persons

  • In high season the rental price is 245 Euro per night based on a stay of 2 persons. You’ll find the dates for high season on the INFO page.

  • if you stay with more than 2 persons you'll pay an extra charge of 25 Euro per person per night for the extra persons.

  • In low season minimum stay during the weekends is 3 nights (Friday - Monday). During the week it’s 4 nights (Mon-Fri). In high season the minimum stay is a week (Fri-Fri).

  • final cleaning is mandatory and is 95 Euro per stay

  • tourist tax is 0,95 Euro per person per night

  • babies up to 1 year old stay for free. Please bring your own baby cot and bedding for the baby

  • if you bring your dog (max. 1 dog), the extra charge is 50 Euro per stay.

  • your stay includes bath linen, bed linen and kitchen linen, unlimited use of firewood, Smit & Dorlas coffee cups, Clipper tea, delicious soap by the Dutch brand Marie Stella Maris (Objet d’Amsterdam) and basic household supply (olive oil, salt, pepper etc) .
