The Station - Gorssel

The House

Ever wanted to stay at GetAway Deluxe headquarters? Now you can! The house is open to GetAway Deluxe guests for part of the year. At other times, it serves as office, photoshoot location, and our own holiday home.

The Station is located on the edge of Gorssel, a beautiful village surrounded by forest and heathland, just 10 minutes from the Hanseatic cities of Deventer and Zutphen.

As you’ve come to expect from us, The Station features plenty of glass, an open-plan layout, and multiple split levels. You enter through the large kitchen–bar area, with French doors on both sides opening onto two terraces. On one side there is a raised seating area with a wood-burning stove and projector; on the other side a raised office/lounge space. Beneath the seating area is a semi-sunken bedroom for two with a double shower. A second bedroom with bathroom is accessible from outside. At the front of the house, a large terrace overlooks a lush garden.

An unheated forest pond with a 12-metre natural swimming pool and a helophyte filter with lava stones and, among other plants, yellow iris for natural water purification. As temperatures rise, the water warms up fairly quickly—around 18°C in May. If you’re brave, you can swim year-round!

    Note: as one bedroom is only accessible from outside, this house is not suitable for small children.

  • Natural swimming pond, 12 m long and 1.40 m deep

  • Washing machine and drye

  • Fiber-optic Wi-Fi

  • Heat pump for hot water and underfloor heating; the house has its own wastewater system

Note:

  • Due to the swimming pond, the house is not suitable for children who cannot swim

  • The swimming pond is natural and therefore unheated

  • One bedroom is only accessible from outside, making the house unsuitable for small children

  • The house has a lot of glass and no curtains; bedroom windows can be darkened with blinds

  • Pets are not allowed


RATES, AVAILABILITY AND BOOKING

  • in low season the rental price is 225 Euro per night based on a stay of 2 persons In high season the rental price is 290 Euro per night based on a stay of 2 persons. The house is rented out for 4 persons. We ask a surcharge of 30 Euros per person per night for the 3rd and 4th person.

  • minimum stay is one week. Check the calendar for available weeks. You can always contact us at info@getawaydeluxe.com to inquire about availability in other weeks.

  • final cleaning is mandatory and costs 100 Euro.

  • tourist tax is €2 per person per night.

  • your stay includes final cleaning, bath, bed, and kitchen linen; unlimited firewood; Smit & Dorlas coffee capsules; Clipper tea; lovely soap from Ajen; and basic essentials such as salt, pepper, olive oil, etc.
